The Friends of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve organises activities and events to help raise awareness of the Reserve. These include monthly guided walks, talks on a wide range of wildlife topics and surveys of the reserve. Events are free and open to all unless otherwise stated.

Please phone if you have any special needs, in particular, regarding the use of wheelchairs and pushchairs. (Visitors’ Centre: 01480 406795)

Visitors are advised to wear suitable clothing for outdoor events with strong boots or shoes, and hats in the summer sun.

Insects: the Bizarre and the Beautiful - a talk by Ann Miles

Join us for a talk about the weird and wonderful world of insects by Ann Miles, who is one of our wildlife survey volunteers and a keen photographer at Paxton Pits.
The talk will be held at the Visitor Centre and is free! Doors will open at 6:30 pm with the talk itself beginning at 7 pm. Refreshments will be available to purchase in the Visitor Centre, including hot and cold drinks, savoury snacks and chocolate bars.
