Coronavirus (COVID-19) update
Due to the recommendations from government, Huntingdonshire District Council have made the decision to close their Countryside Service Centres to the public. They will be reviewing this policy at the end of April.
Therefore, as of 18th March 2020, the Visitor Centre, including the toilets at Paxton Pits Nature Reserve are now closed. All Work Parties, Events and Wildlife Surveys will cease until further notice.
The paths will remain open but please keep your distance from other people who may be out for a walk while we are in quarantine.
Ordinarily, The Friends of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve organises a wide range of activities and events to help raise funds for the Reserve. These range from talks and demonstrations to celebrations and tick ‘n’ twitch days. Events are open to all unless otherwise stated.
Please phone if you have any special needs, in particular, regarding the use of wheelchairs and pushchairs. (Visitors’ Centre: 01480 406795)
Visitors are advised to wear suitable clothing for outdoor events with strong boots or shoes, and hats in the summer sun.
