The Friends of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve organises activities and events to help raise awareness of the Reserve. These include monthly guided walks, talks on a wide range of wildlife topics and surveys of the reserve. Events are free and open to all unless otherwise stated.

Visitors are advised to wear suitable clothing for outdoor events with strong boots or shoes, and hats in the summer sun.

Practical hands-on family fun activities, outdoors and indoors too. Designed to help you discover more about local wildlife. £5 per child

Sorry no dogs allowed in the education area. Wear long trousers, bring sunhats, suncream, insect repellent. No need to book - this is a drop-in event therefore a maximum of three families are admitted together as a party. Activities are self-guided and all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please take care on the approach to the Environmental Education Centre, as haulage lorries are using the road outside all day. Please ensure you keep your children close by you on the way down from the car park.
