The Friends of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve organises activities and events to help raise awareness of the Reserve. These include monthly guided walks, talks on a wide range of wildlife topics and surveys of the reserve. Events are free and open to all unless otherwise stated.

Visitors are advised to wear suitable clothing for outdoor events with strong boots or shoes, and hats in the summer sun.
Creating Wildlife Gardens - an illustrated talk by Angela Potter

Angela will talk about her experience of creating a garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Topics such as attracting wildlife to smaller gardens and which trees, plants and flowers will provide nectar for bees through the whole year will be covered. She will also talk about wildflower meadows and how to create a pond which will attract wildlife.
