Coronavirus (COVID-19) update
Please note that the paths and bird hides at the Nature Reserve remain open, but we ask that all visitors respect the quarantine rules and keep their distance from other people using the space. If you have Covid-19 symptoms or have tested positive, please self-isolate at home.
The Visitor Centre is now closed from 5 November until 2 December. The toilets will remain open every day 11am-3pm.
The Friends of Paxton Pits and Huntingdonshire District Council have taken the decision to cancel all events for the remainder of 2020, including work parties.
Ordinarily, The Friends of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve organises a wide range of activities and events to help raise funds for the Reserve. These range from talks and demonstrations to celebrations and tick ‘n’ twitch days. Events are open to all unless otherwise stated.
Please phone if you have any special needs, in particular, regarding the use of wheelchairs and pushchairs. (Visitors’ Centre: 01480 406795)
Visitors are advised to wear suitable clothing for outdoor events with strong boots or shoes, and hats in the summer sun.
