Bird Ringing Demonstration

Did you know there is a small dedicated group of bird ringers who volunteer at the reserve? They are licensed by the British Trust for Ornithology to ring birds and collect data for their national database.

Come along and see what is involved, why the data is collected and enjoy yht chance to see these beautiful birds up close.

The demo will take place outside the Yard along the Heron Trail (follow the arrows from the Visitor Centre).

The demo is free but any donations are gratefully received.

This event is weather-dependent – ringing can only take place if it is dry and still. If wet or windy, the event will be cancelled and we will try again on the 27th.
